Some of our products can be powered by both standard wall AC power (110/220 Volts) and battery power for operation in remote and outdoor applications where AC power isn’t available. LIGHT EMITTING DIODES

SDR uses the next generation white LED (also called “Hyper Bright”), which was originally designed for use in laptop computer screens because they generate high brightness, create virtually no heat, and use very little power. Our expertise and experience applying LED to P-O-P applications has made SDR the leader in this technology. Our new Hyper-Bright LED series achieves much higher efficiency than older, conventional LED’s—for roughly the same cost. We have developed a new generation of light boxes capable of brightness up to 1500 CDm2. These new products are highly efficient, consume significantly less power, require little
maintenance, and are environmentally “green”.

ELECTRO-LUMINESENCE

EL is often called “Flat Light” and can be applied to both flat and curved surfaces. This allows for highly flexible light placement since Flat Light products can be used on walls, counter tops, floor mats, even on beer tap handles —any place where light and motion will attract, notice, and deliver a sales message at the exact time of the purchase decision. No matter where you decide to use EL technology, SDR is known for manufacturing it’s EL products to very rigorous specifications to ensure uniform lighting, color consistency, high brightness, and a long useful life.

COLD CATHODE FLOURESCENT LIGHTING

Cold Cathode lighting provides a useful alternative to EL or LED when a large amount of indirect or diffused light is needed in a display application. CCFL is proven to be cost effective for display shelf lighting, back lighting, large multi unit bottle glorifiers and applications requiring 360-degree illumination.

Key characteristics of CCFL:

• Light tube diameter is 4mm.
  (Can also use a 3/8” clear protective sleeve).
  
• Available in variety of lengths
  (6" - 9" - 10.5" - 12" - 14" - 16" - 19" - 24").
  
• Low power 12VDC which means they can be battery powered. (Uses inverter / AC adaptor.)
  
• 360 degree high brightness lighting.
  
• 7000K white (daylight) color temperature
